it Didn’t exist, so we built it.

It started with a simple yet frustrating reality: Latinas have always been here—playing, coaching, leading, building—but sports have rarely made space for us. Instead of waiting for change, we created it.

In 2023, DRAFTED became the first culture-driven media company to ensure Latinas are never invisible in sports again.

Founded by Karina Martinez and Jennifer Yepez-Blundell, two women who’ve lived the struggle of being overlooked in an industry that thrives on passion, grit, and storytelling—the very things that define us. From different backgrounds but with the same mission, they came together to build something that didn’t exist: a platform that elevates, connects, and creates real opportunities for Latinas in sports, from the field to the front office to the fandom.

This isn’t just a brand—it’s an ecosystem. Through content, community, and commerce, we’re shifting the industry, ensuring that Latinas aren’t just part of the sports conversation—we’re leading it.
